From left to right: Andrea, Juan Carlos, Cris, Yvonne and Antonio, five young students who are studying a Masters' degree in English language teaching. Why this course?
Although we have different backgrounds, we all share the same passion: teaching. Being a teacher is one of the most satisfactory, but also demanding, professions in the world. Transmitting knowledge, seeing how teenagers grow and build up their knowledge, creating a link between two different cultures, even learning from your students...
However, we know it won't be easy. Teaching English as a foreign language is a considerable challenge for every teacher. Thus, as for every challenge, you need passion, you need to love what you do...
As said before, we come from different paths, which have nonetheless joined together at this point. Which are our stories?
- Andrea has a degree in Translation and Interpretation. She is a specialist in Creative and Humanistic Translation. After having practised rhythmic gymnastics for many years, she has become a trainer.
- Juan Carlos studied a Teaching degree (specialization in Infants). Besides, he is a writer and he loves everything related to telling stories.
- Cris studied a Teaching degree (Infants and Primary Education, specialization in English language). She loves meeting new people and discovering new cultures, as well as films.
- Yvonne has also a degree in Translation and Interpretation. She speaks English, German and Spanish sign language.
- Antonio is the third Translator in our group. He is a specialist in Medical Translation in French and English. He loves travelling and reading.
